About ACE
Acquire Communication Excellence a.k.a. ACE has been in business since the past 5 years and has accumulated 1000s of hours of teaching 250+ students the ability to overcome language barriers in English and French.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas with a global presence – ACE’s student base is spread across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.
Our students come from a varied background including corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, school students or students who just want a better future for themselves to assimilate from the language perspective.
We understand that everyone is as unique as their fingerprint and one size may not fit all. ACE focuses on using proprietary standardized lessons which are taught to fit the needs of each individual student.
Our intake process, ongoing assessments and curriculum development are tailored to ensure our students get the most effective learning experience, whether it is a private class or a group session. Our content is designed to help non- native English speakers develop and improve their English language skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
Our personalized and customized teaching methods are visually stimulating and emphasize and encourage student participation. Our teachers DO NOT SPEAK any other language during classes, so students are forced to communicate in English in the best way that they can.
Learning a language should be FUN, because the more you enjoy the process, the more you will learn and retain.
The intake process typically involves several steps to assess the needs and proficiency level of the students.
1. Placement Test:
The test usually includes sections on grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
2. Needs Assessment and Oral Evaluation:
a) Students have an interaction with the instructor
b) This helps identify the specific areas in which students need improvement and their individual learning goals.
c) It may cover topics such as the purpose for learning English, areas of weakness, and any specific language needs
3. Class Placement:
a) Based on the results of the placement test and needs assessment, students are assigned to the appropriate level or class.
b) ESL classes are typically divided into different levels, such as beginner, intermediate, and advanced, to ensure students receive instruction suited to their proficiency level.
4. Orientation:
a) Students attend an orientation session, where they receive information about the ESL program, course expectations, schedules, and available resources.
5. Learning Plans:
a) After class placement, instructors develop learning plans for shared at the begging of each class session.
b) These plans outline specific learning objectives and strategies tailored to the student’s needs and goals.
